Midwife

Congratulations! You’re expecting… to book your first midwife appointment (please tell us its your first as these take longer!) contact the surgery reception team on 01622 842212. Our antenatal clinic is held on Tuesdays at our South Lane site.

Pharmacist – Medication Reviews

We have appointments to have a medication review with or to discuss medication queries with our Pharmacist Mo Onabule, who works closely with the clinical team.

Test Results

Please call the  surgery (01622 842212) after 3pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so.

Physiotherapy

Joe Parambil and Nick Herlihy are our first contact physiotherapists for musclo-skeletal problems. You can book an appointment without seeing the Doctor first, please just call the surgery.

Travel advice and immunisations

We offer most vaccinations for foreign travel but NOT yellow fever, or non NHS vaccines. Please allowed 4-6 weeks before you travel so there is time to complete these vaccinations. NHS Health Checks

The NHS health Check programme aims to help prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and certain types of dementia. Everyone between the ages of 40 and 74 (who have not already been diagnosed with one of these conditions or have certain risk factors) will be invited once every 5 years to have a check to assess their risk. Support and advice will be given to help reduce or manage that risk. Patients will be contacted when this is due.

Complex Care – Support with Independence

Are you, or someone you care for struggling with any of the following?Weakness, tiredness, weight loss, reduction in physical activity, poor balance, memory issues or climbing stairs? Do you need help with Heavy Housework, Finances, Transportation, Meal Preparation, Medications or Washing and Dressing?

Do You Need a General Health Assessment? A new service being offered for any patient registered at Bearsted, Headcorn, Langley, Lenham or Sutton Valence surgeries.
