Appointments

Appointments

Our appointment system has changed as we have had to adapt to a new way of working because of the Covid-19 situation.  All of our appointments are firstly triaged by a member of the clinical team.  If a face to face appointment is required it will usually be offered at fairly short notice.  Individual clinician’s surgeries do vary, however all consultations are by appointment.

We only book part of each surgery in advance (for routine reviews and non-urgent problems) deliberately leaving enough ‘on the day’ appointments for urgent problems.  So please book all routine matters as far ahead as possible.

We guarantee a consultation for urgent problems which require a face to face consultation the same day, but cannot promise the clinician of your choice.

If you find that you are unable to keep an appointment, please telephone the surgery to cancel. Another patient may be able to use it.

We have an online appointment booking service. If you would like to use this facility then complete the pre-registration form available from reception. We must see identification documents before you can register for this service, so please bring your passport or drivers licence with you when registering.

We now have a text messaging appointment reminder service. If you would like to make use of this service, please check that we have the correct mobile number on our computer system.

The Practice is working with AccuRx triage, please follow the following link to complete a patient triage request: https://florey.accurx.com/p/G82229

Telephone advice

All doctors and nurses are pleased to offer telephone advice.

Transport

For help with transport, collections and deliveries we are indebted to The Three Suttons Helpline:

  • 01622 842346
  • 01622 842530

Please ensure that you ask relatives, friends and neighbours first before ringing. A contribution to costs is expected.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A clinician may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with some telephone advice, or it may be more appropriate to send a nurse, paramedic or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
